First Ford Dealer in Alberta

In 1915, there were no Calgary car dealerships. Ford Motor Company of Canada did not have any dealerships as we know them, rather all sales were made by individual salesmen. Ernest Arlington McCullough joined Ford in 1915 and by the next year he led all Ford salesmen in Canada. This achievement was a major step towards beginning the first Ford dealer that Alberta ever knew.

On August 8, 1917, E. A. McCullough and T. W. Lines incorporated Maclin Ford. Though T. W. Lines was only in the company for a few months, his presence is still felt to this day. McCullough and Lines merged their names to form the name Maclin - which we still use today!
